Tim Cook Visits Shanghai Upon Opening of New Flagship Store
Today, Apple CEO Tim Cook visited China and made an appearance on the Bund in Shanghai, where he also had breakfast with Chinese actor Zheng Kai.
In an interview with the media, Cook stated, “I don’t think there’s a more important place than China for Apple’s supply chain.””In fact, over the past 30 years, we’ve been constantly expanding our supply chain in China and continuously increasing our investments,” Cook added.
Cook also believes that the level of modernization in factories today is very high. However, looking forward 10 years and then looking back, we might not think today’s level of modernization is very high because progress will continue.
In fact, the Vision Pro, which Cook has high hopes for, played a critical role in the production process in the Chinese supply chain. Data shows that the proportion of Apple’s Vision Pro supply chain within mainland China has significantly increased to around 60%.
Supply chain insiders revealed that the hardware cost of Apple’s Vision Pro is roughly $1,700. Many Chinese supply chain companies have profited from the production of the Vision Pro.
Currently, the company with the highest proportion in the mainland supply chain is Lingyi iTech, which is responsible for exclusively supplying heat dissipation modules and headbands, eye masks, and nose pads. Next is Luxshare Precision, which is responsible for exclusive contract assembly.
