Xiaomi Appoints Two Female Executives
On May 8th, Xiaomi Group founder and chairman Lei Jun announced in a post that two Xiaomi colleagues have been promoted to senior executives of the group: Xu Fei appointed as Vice President of the group and Group CMO (Chief Marketing Officer); Zhang Jianhui appointed as Vice President of the group and Chairman of the Group Procurement Committee.
Xu Fei was an early employee of Xiaomi, joining the company in 2010 as the product manager of the Xiaomi operating system team before MIUI 6. Xu Fei served as a keynote speaker at the launch event for Xiaomi‘s 14 Ultra phone earlier this year and was then Vice President of Xiaomi China.

Zhang Jianhui’s current Weibo certification is the General Manager of Xiaomi Group’s Administrative Department. Lei Jun stated that both of them were employees who joined Xiaomi at the beginning of its entrepreneurship, and have grown together with Xiaomi for more than ten years, making important contributions in various positions. It is worth mentioning that this is the first time Xiaomi has appointed two female executives simultaneously.
At the same time, Phoenix Technology Network revealed an internal email from Xiaomi Group. It is reported that Xiaomi Group will also establish a group strategic marketing department this time, overseeing all brand, public relations, and market-related work of the group, with three departments under it: group brand department, group public relations department, and group strategic marketing operations room.
Wang Teng then served as the Deputy General Manager of the China Market Department and General Manager of the Redmi Marketing Department, in charge of the E-commerce Market Department and Retail Market Department, reporting to Xu Fei, General Manager of the China Market Department; continuing to serve as General Manager of the Redmi brand, reporting to Group President William Lu.
