BYD Releases Its First PHEV Pickup Truck SHARK
On May 15th, BYD held a press conference in Mexico to officially launch the “SHARK” pickup truck, which will be sold in the Americas, Australia and other regions in the future. The official has not yet indicated whether this vehicle will be launched domestically.
BYD SHARK has two versions, GL and GS, but the official event did not specify the differences between the two versions:
GL version is priced at 899980 Mexican pesos
GS version is priced at 969800 Mexican pesos
BYD SHARK comes in three colors to choose from: Pallas White, Marmara Black, and Atlantis Gray.
The dimensions of this pickup truck are 5457mm in length, 1971mm in width, and 1925mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3260mm. The front motor has a maximum power of 170kW and a maximum torque of 310N·m; the rear motor has a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum torque of 340N·m.
BYD SHARK is equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, a 12.8-inch central control screen, and a 12-inch HUD head-up display. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, equipped with a 360° panoramic view camera and a 180° chassis camera, providing a 540° ultra-wide transparent panoramic image.
