BYD YangWang U9 Will Be Launched on February 25th
BYD‘s battery electric supercar – the YangWang U9 will be officially launched on February 25th.
As a million-level supercar from BYD, the YangWang U9 not only features a radical exterior design, but also will be equipped with the e⁴ platform technology. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds, boasting exceptionally powerful performance.
YangWang U9 is equipped with the family design language of the Time Gate, C-shaped iconic headlights, and a highly recognizable front face; while using butterfly doors opening method to further enhance its supercar attributes.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s new vehicle declaration catalog shows that the dimensions of the YangWang U9 when viewed from above are 4966/2029/1295 (1338) mm in length, width, and height respectively. The wheelbase is 2900mm, the total weight of the vehicle is 2625kg, and it has a two-door two-seat layout.
In terms of power, the YangWang U9 is equipped with four independent electric motors, each with a peak power of 240kW, and a total system power exceeding 1300 horsepower.
Currently, BYD YangWang’s first model under its brand, the YangWang U8, has been released with a price of 1.098 million yuan (approximatly $152,914); while the price of the YangWang U9 is conservatively estimated to be over one million yuan.
