DJI Unveils Three Agricultural Drones and Brand Declaration

Chinese drone maker DJI released its T50, T25 and Mavic 3 Multispectral products on November 23, geared at the smart agriculture sector. It also released its first brand film and brand declaration for agricultural business – “Better Growth, Better Life.” As of September, the global cumulative sales volume of agricultural drones made by DJI had exceeded 200,000 units, and the cumulative working area had exceeded 2 million kilometers.

T50

The T50 has been upgraded to two sets of active phased array radars, two sets of binocular vision, and a dual atomization spraying system, which integrates functions of aerial survey and flight defense.

Weighing 52kg, the T50 supports the spreading of a 50kg load and spraying a 40kg load, with a 2200mm maximum wheelbase, 16 L/min spraying and 108 kg/min sowing.

The T50 is equipped with a seven-inch remote controller screen, which supports intelligent route planning and a transmission distance as far as 2 km.

T25

In order to meet the flexible and efficient single-person operation, the T25 has a lighter weight, while fully inheriting the functions and design of the T50, including omni-directional obstacle avoidance, aerial survey on a large slope, and fast charging in 9 minutes.

The T25 is equipped with autonomous aerial survey functions, which intelligently identify the boundary between land parcels and obstacles by generating high-definition maps and routes. In addition, the T25 is equipped with a pair of centrifugal nozzles, so there is no need to turn around, which makes manual operation more convenient.

Mavic 3 Multispectral

This version of DJI’s Mavic 3 is equipped with a multispectral imaging system that quickly captures crop growth information to achieve more effective production.

For orchard managers, Mavic 3 Multispectral can carry out aerial surveys of orchards, reconstruct high-definition maps of orchards with the DJI SmartFarm Platform, automatically identify the number of trees, and distinguish trees from obstacles.

Mavic 3 Multispectral can conduct ground-like aerial surveys on mountain forests and orchards. The DJI SmartFarm Platform generates an NDVI vegetation index to provide data for more efficient and localized crop treatment. Automatic field scouting can detect crop abnormalities and perform intelligent analysis.
