XPeng Motors Plans to Build 3,000 Supercharging Stations by the End of 2025
On September 6th, Gao Xiang, the General Manager of XPeng Motors in Guangzhou Smart Charging Technology Co., Ltd., stated at the 2023 China International Charging and Swapping Operator Conference that XPeng Motors will build 3,000 supercharging stations by the end of 2025 and 5,000 supercharging stations by the end of 2027.
Gao Xiang introduced that as of August 2023, XPeng‘s supercharging network has covered over 100 cities, achieving full coverage in first-tier and new first-tier cities. There are already more than 230 stations equipped with S4 supercharging nationwide, and the 3km service range of the S4 supercharging network has covered nearly 100,000 vehicle owners.
On August 31, the 233rd XPeng S4 supercharging station landed in Zhangzhou, Fujian. This marks XPeng‘s nationwide coverage of 100 cities with its own supercharging stations.

At the XPeng Motors Super Recharge Event held on August 15, 2022, the XPeng S4 supercharging was officially unveiled. According to the introduction, the maximum power of XPeng S4’s self-developed supercharging pile is 480kW per unit, with a maximum current of 670A. The peak charging power is 400kW and it claims to charge 200km in just 5 minutes (CLTC), entering an era where charging from 10% to 80% takes only 15 minutes.
Up to now, both the XPeng G9 and XPeng G6 models on the 800V high-voltage SiC platform have supported S4 supercharging.
