BYD Auto Plans 50 New Stores in Indonesia Amid Expansion
According to a post on BYD Auto’s official Weibo on January 20, BYD held a passenger car brand launch event at the Jakarta National Miniature Park on January 18.
Previously involved in bolstering the public transportation sector in Indonesia since 2018 with its commercial vehicles, BYD has now extended its footprint to the passenger car segment. As part of this expansion, the company, in collaboration with local dealer partners, intends to establish 50 stores across the country.
In line with the Indonesian government’s guidelines, BYD plans to commence a factory construction project later this year. This aligns with the company’s commitment to foster an electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. Through the provision of high-end products and superior services, BYD aims to invigorate the Indonesian automotive market.
