Xiaomi released the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition smartphone on August 11. This model is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, with prices starting from 2,999 yuan ($421). On September 23, a Chinese blogger exposed configuration information on the Redmi K60 series, which is the next generation of flagship smartphones by Redmi.
Prominent tech blogger with Weibo username “Digital Chat Station” said that among the new Redmi K60 series devices, two high-end versions using Snapdragon processors are equipped with new 2K flexible straight screens, and the screens adopt eye protection and dimming schemes. In the comment area, some Weibo users asked whether the Redmi K60 standard version supports 120W fast charging, to which the blogger replied that it was “highly impossible” as it already has a super-large battery.

At present, the naming of the new Redmi K60 series is uncertain. Other web users further guessed that the Redmi K60 standard version will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip, while the Redmi K60 Pro will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The E-Sports Edition of the Redmi K60 will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 iterative chip.
The blogger previously said that the new Redmi K60 series models will adopt a 50MP main camera and will have two fast charging options for 100-watt-level batteries, as well as the in-display fingerprint sensor that many users expect will return.
