Xiaomi Sub-Brand Redmi’s K60 Smartphone Series Launched in China
Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi launched its new Redmi K60 smartphone series in China on December 27. The new lineup includes the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E. A “Speed Edition” for the Note 12 Pro has also been launched. The unveiling also saw the arrival of three smart wearable devices.

In addition, three smart wearable devices – the Redmi Watch 3, new Band 2, and Buds 4 Lite in assorted colors – are now available for purchase in China.
The Redmi Watch 3 comes with a square-ish AMOLED display that is 1.75″ diagonally with 341 PPI and a 60Hz refresh rate. The body has flat sides, and there is one hard button on the side. Weighting only 37g, the watch has an “Always-On” display, and while the device is powered, it can have over 200 different watch faces. It can work for 12 days on a single charge, with continuous blood oxygen and heart rate monitoring, as well as 121 different workout modes. The price of the device is set at 499 yuan ($71.5). It comes in black or white, although there are three colorful straps for further customization which cost 69 yuan ($9.8) extra.
With a 1.47″ screen, the Redmi Band 2 is 9.99 mm thick and weighs 14.9 grams. This device does not support Bluetooth calls but still offers over 30 exercise modes and features such as blood oxygen measurement and a menstrual cycle tracker for ladies. The battery can last six days on a single charge with heavy use or almost 14 days with “normal” use. It costs 159 yuan ($22.7) until the end of 2022, then the price will jump to 169 yuan ($24.2).
The Redmi Buds 4 Lite come in white, black, orange, and green. Each bud weighs just 3.9 grams, and the whole package, two buds and case, offers up to 20 hours of battery life. The price is 139 yuan ($19.9) until the end of the year, then it will change to 149 yuan ($21.3).
