BYD YangWang U8 Extended Version Spy Photos Exposed

On August 11th, news broke that difans.cn has exposed a set of suspected spy photos of the BYD YangWang U8 extended version.

According to reports, this new vehicle will weaken off-road capabilities and will be primarily aimed at urban use, targeting the Land Rover Range Rover Long Wheelbase as its competitor.

The current dimensions of the Yangwang U8 are 5325x2095x1940 mm (approximately 5.1 meters without the spare tire), while the length of the new vehicle is expected to further increase, with an estimated length exceeding 5.2 meters without the spare tire.

Since the launch of the Yangwang U8, as of July this year, total sales have reached 7940 units. In the sales ranking of models priced over 1 million yuan in 2024, the Yangwang U8 leads significantly with 5055 units sold in the first half of the year, far ahead of the Mercedes-Benz GLS with 3853 units, placing it at the top. Among the top ten, apart from the Yangwang U8, the rest are imported luxury brands such as BBA, Porsche, and Land Rover.
